Democratic Comprehensive Energy Plan To Lower Gasoline Prices

This is how we will do it. And this why we will do it. This country has so much under used industrial capacity in our Auto Plants, Airplane Plants, Steel Plants and Electronics Plants to make America Energy Independent in 2 to 5 years. We can build enough windmills and solar power and wave generation energy plants to replace 90% of all of the electricity generated by COAL and NATURAL GAS and reduce US CO2 emmissions by at least 25%. For $400 Billion we could build 400,000 windmills and provide electricity for every home in America . The Coal and Natural Gas saved by Green Replaceable Elecrrical Generation can now be used to make fuel for cars, trucks, busses, boats and airplanes, and or plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and pharmacuticals. We need a comprehensive plan that puts America back to work in endeavors that benefit 99% of America.

  1. Hey I have a better idea. Let's just start living like the Amish do. We can start by throwing away all our computers.

  2. I will decide when I actually see the "Plan". The citation is not a plan. It's what I call a vision or political pitch.

To summarize, their "vision" is to invest on alternative energy to lesson the demand for foreign oil. Nothing and nothing unheard of. We have been hearing about that from several administrations (both republican and democrat) already.

  3. It will cost at least 5 times as much as if we would just use coal and oil.  That means you and I will be paying $500 electric bills every month!  yay!

  4. Great idea! Europe is ahead of us, they plan to produce a third of their energy from renewable resources, mostly windmills. Solar panels are more expensive but best for many isolated applications.

Strange that they do not have geothermal sources like we do, they do have volcanoes.

But, the LAST thing we need is cheap gasoline.

Global Warming is real. Have you read about the swarms of tornadoes in the Mid-West? Unprecedented!

Have you heard about the 842 wildfires started in two days in California? Hundreds are stll active and we have ALL the air tankers (8 of them, C-130) in the Air Force. Two of the biggest fires are less than 40% "contained" -whatever that means.

These wildfires came in the west after a multiyear draught.

Lake Superior and Lake Mead reach record low levels yearly.

What would it take to convince people Global Warming is, indeed, real and we better get busy?

  5. No, I'd like to see them raised to be on the same level as all the great countries that everyone touts.

Canada:   $1.50 per liter.....or roughly $6.00 per gallon.

Europe:     Upwards of $8.00 per gallon.

When they start raising the price of crack......I'll be concerned.

  6. I'm in agreement generally.  Solar and windmills aren't quite where you think they are in efficiency.  They both break-down at a heartbreaking rate.  I thought i was solving my energy problems and helping America.  Each "fix" of the windmill and solar cost exactly the amount i had saved by using alternative power.  And it's hard to get up to fix the part of the windmill that "sticks" and reduces production because of increased friction.  The pipes and connectors on the solar are exposed to the weather and leak every 24 months- like clockwork.  These aren't cheap, crappy systems either.

Oh well.  Don't you give up just because i'm having trouble.

  7. The plants will not like that much, as they need CO2 to live. Kill the plants and U kill yourself.

  8. No. Any engineer will tell you it is a joke!

  9. Sounds like a good start. Here are a few other things that could be done.

I would also encourage the development of bio-diesel fuel from the Jatropha seed plant. Current estimates are that Jatropha oil could be processed and sold for the extremely low price of only $43 a barrel, vs. the current price of $137 a barrel!

Since politicians like to give out tax breaks (wonderful for stimulating votes) there should be a tax credit given to people who plant and cultivate trees on their properties. This would process CO2 and encourage reforestation on existing properties.

Curent windmill design is also harmful to bird populations, but the S-Turbine is more environmentally friendly, and actually more efficient.

Klaus Lackner's Synthetic Trees could help process the existing CO2 already in the air.

Finally, the reprocessing of CO2 via the algae farms as used by Greenfuel Technologies should be made mandatory for all power plants internationally. This would virtually eliminate all CO2 production by energy-generating plants and help to bring the world back in balance.
