Besides the Cowboys I'm a  ATL fan since I was born there. I will admit that the odds are against us being a contender this season. But I really think we're going to surprise a lot of people. I joke around with my friends about 3-13 and 4-12 being acceptable, but look at our schedule and tell me that if the players suit up and play hard, we can probably finish with some semblance of pride: week 1, Lions... week 5, Packers... week 6, Bears (depends on which form of the team shows up)... week 9, Raiders... week 16, Vikings (Peterson is their only true threat). That adds up to possibly 5-11; throw in an upset or two, you get maybe a 7-9? Of course I am being optimistic, but I really think it could happen. But the team is a season or two away from contending for a playoff berth.

No chance at all this year. Not with a rookie coming straight out of the gates. He will have some growing pains this first year but will get better as the season goes on. Maybe in a couple years.
