  1. First of all, Watchmen is based on a comic book. They call it "one of the greatest graphic novels of all-time." I'm really interested in reading the book and then comparing it to the film. Usually movies aren't as good as the source material. Even the writer himself, Alan Moore said that Watchmen is not filmable. I'm still interested to watch it though, but after reading the book of course.

  2. It's not as popular as IronMan or Batman in terms of the general publics understanding, and it will be instantly compared to these films once released.  I think these things will work against it and it won't blow up as large as fanboys hope... because ultimately, it'll only be fanboys going to the cinemas to see it.

That's just how it will be perceived at the box office, however.  I think it will still be a good film.

  3. I found where you could get 2 tickets to any concert

  4. The story is really good, but film-wise... I'm not sure it will translate so well to the big screen.

Look how V for Vendetta did.

Great movie, but it didn't really do well in the theaters.

You also have to factor in the intelligence level of the movie going audience.

Most people go for big explosions and a VERY simple story - i.e. Transformers, Star Wars Prequels, Armaggeddon, etc.

Most of the really good movies develop a fan following and might earn a little money, but not much else.

  5. i think it will be great. the trailer looks good, very visually engaging. and ive heard that they didn't s***w around with the script..the script is the graphic novel and that is amazing. so i don't think they screwed it up. i think it will be a great film.

i just wish we didnt have to wait till march to see.

  6. Of course it's gonna be good. but the book will always be better.

  7. Yes I think it will. Judging by your avatar I could tell you are 100% excited.

  8. h**l Yes!!!

The Directors Cut when the DVD comes out will be even better because

it will not be cut to fit average theater time frame of 90-120 min.

The studio should allow it to run 3 hrs. with an intermission.

This was done with "Braveheart" and that story really only needed about 45 min      (get screwed by king - rally people against king - get captured, tortured, killed by king - die martyr people rebel and get FREEEEEDOOOOOOOM!!!! ) role credits.
