Do You Think it's Tacky if -?

you go to someone's house and their Vaccum is out in the living room? Does that bother you?

Not if they had been in the process of vacuming the carpet, or was just about to. Otherwise it is kind of weird to leave that out, since most people have a storage place for cleaning tools.

I don't think so. My family keeps the vacuum in a corner in the living room because it's easier to find and get from there. The closet where we're supposed to keep it was temporarily our storage since one of them broke down with the strong winds we had.

And now that we fixed it we're so used to having our vacuum there that we don't mind, and neither do guests. They barely notice it.

If you showed up unannounced, then it's not tacky because they could have been in the process of using it, but if they knew you were on your way then it should have been put away.

I guess it also depends on if it was in a corner or just in the middle of the room too. Maybe leaving it in a visible place reminds that person to vaccuum more often, but in the middle of the room is tacky.
