Saakashvili said that Georgia is now in a state of war with Russia.

But he cant even imagine what it REALLY is to be in a state of war with Russia.

There're Russian 25000 troops in Georgia. Thats almost entire 58th army. 58th... Other 57 are still in Russia. So this is simply peacemaking.

  1. its not a war, its an occupation.  Georgia doesnt have the troops needed to launch any kind of attack.

  2. Yes, Russia has made war on Georgia! Watch TV reports , read the papers, look at all the innocent people who have been bombed out of their homes, and the death toll!

  3. Yes of course, watch news

  4. It's very obvious watch the TV and they are now in action

  5. Saakashvilli is a fool. He's killing their citizens. Don't be a fool. He is crazy. And Russia is a peacemaker only. And there no russian troops in Georgia, only in South Osetia. And only for peacemaking.

  6. of course it's a war!! and medvedev just 'ordered'' it , they still bombed gori twice and are planning to destroy a willage in georgia.. my advice- don't watch russian tv channels or don't read russian web sites

  7. Appeal to the Governments and peoples of the world

Our people have been systematically exterminated for the past 19 years by the fascist Georgian regime, and their inhuman atrocities have been neglected by the world for the sake of geopolitical interest of the United States.

The conflict is being resolved in compliance with international law. However, skillfully applying falsification of historical facts and political insinuations, under a patronage from the US government, Georgia misrepresents reality to the world.

As of today, the major part of South Ossetia has been eradicated by Georgian aggressors. Our elderly, women and children continue to die. The total death toll is unknown as the Georgian side was opening heavy fire at those trying to help the wounded. Including children.

The unmatched Georgian brutality has been vividly displayed in 1991-1992, when they have been firing point-blank at South Ossetian civilians – the Zar tragedy can never be forgotten, a bus full of people shot dead - elderly, women and children. They shot a three-year-old boy trying to hide under his mother’s body.

What can we talk about with Georgia? How can we forgive burying people alive, burning people, and torturing people with refined methods? After all this, the world is silent and the Georgians continue killing innocent people. Saakashvili doesn’t feel sorry for anybody, even his compatriot Georgians. The notions of "people" and "meat" are not too different for him, and probably he prefers the latter.

For South Ossetia there is only one way to survival - a recognition of its independence by the world community. We appeal to all the good people in the world not to be indifferent to the fate of the Ossetian people.

  8. You want to know something..don't believe what you hear in the news.

  9. go to www.cnn.com there is a war.

  10. It is war...we wont mess with them....wait is there oil in Georgia?  I hope not or the price of gas may get up to $10 a gal.  Russia is no joke.

  11. Russian president calls halt to the war.

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/08/...

  12. Your acting as if Russia  is just peacekeeping. If this were true Russia would not have moved their forces all the way into georgia. Russia would have just keeped their troops on the border where the scuffles were taking place. In reality this is a full force invasion. Furthermore this is exactly what Hitler did in his justification for invading Poland at the beginning of world war 2. Hitler said that Poland was killing germans inside Poland so he had to invade. SOUND FAMILIAR

  13. To Katya:

There is not enough place in Georgia to accommodate 57 other armies from Russia. Besides, I suspect some of Russian military is still engaged in "peacekeeping" mission in Chechnya and other armies are making sure the rest of Caucasus is peaceful...

War is war whether it's 25000 or 2.5 mln. As long as bombs are exploding and people are dying it's a war. And I suspect you already know all that, so what is that you're asking anyway?

To Fosgen: For one, Osetins did their share of killing Georgians in S.O, that includes burning Georgians alive, killing whole families, evictions and arson.

Second, why do you keep talking about S.O.independence when S.O. currently exists on Russian money and military support, and more importantly, S.O. isn't even asking independence, it is trying to become part of Russia. Are you that naive to believe that Russia will let anyone go free? Chechnya is real close to your borders, should give you a good example of what will happen in S.O. should you become part or Russia and try go get independence.

As for how much Russians love folks from Caucasus in general you should know pretty well. If not, try living in Moscow for couple weeks and you'll figure it out.

2 Kurt S: You posted a day ago that there's no Russian troopes in Georgia? Who are you kidding anyway? Even Russia declared few days ago that they're on Georgian soil and they're not leaving soon, not until they're done looting.

As for Ossetins, well yesterday their president Kokoiti openly declared that they've already leveled Georgian villages and won't let refugees back. If that's not ethnic cleansing then what is it?

  14. Russia doesn't really need more than 25000 troops, especially with their military superority, that doesn't make it any less of a war.
