  1. Sure.

Just not the one that's running this time.

  2. Discussing change and living with it are two different things.  By nature, humans fear change therefore nothing changes until someone stands up and consents to be the first.  Four years ago we wouldn't have thought that America was ready for a woman in the highest levels of government but Hillary Clinton jumped out there and now the Republicans are running with a woman on the ticket.  It just takes one to do it first.  Until someone actually does it, we'll whine about how it won't work, we can't do it, etc.  Obama, whether he wins or not, has opened the door for racial minorities in this country not just blacks.

  3. yeah i think thats fine..

    just name the white house

    black house..

  4. YEAH, just not Obama !!!!!!!

  5. a black president, sure. a communist, no

  6. Absolutely - let's face it, we're a nation of mutts.  Not one of us can claim pristine heritage, not that it should matter by now - hello?  We're in the 21st freakin' century.

  7. Why the h**l not.

  8. Some people are ready and some people aren't. The people who aren't make excuses they aren't voting at all. Time will tell and if Obama wins they'll have no choice but to be ready.

  9. of course.  why not?  he's qualified.  sure a better choice than john mcShame.

  10. 20% of Americans will never be ready for a black president....

remember this country is guilty of committing terrorists againsts against African slaves and their offspring for over 200 years, followed by another 50 years of legalized segregration (plessy vs. ferguson), and another 50 years of institutionalized racism.....

the offspring of these perpetrators make up that 20%

  11. yes we are. as long as it isn't obama.

  12. I think it is, or had better get used to the idea quick.

  13. Sure- more ready that we are to have the Mayor of Hooterville be President when McCan't keels over dead.

  14. i think its definatly ready for a black president, and i think we shouldve been ready a long time ago.

  15. Americans are ready for a competent president irrespective of ethnicity or gender.  We already know that being a white male is no guarantee of competence or judgement, and those are much more important than things that are only skin deep.

It would be just as irresponsible to vote for a candidate because of their ethnicity as it would be to vote against a candidate because of ethnicity.

To those of you that would vote for or against Obama "because he's black" I say that you're overlooking what really makes him worthy of the office.  He's not "just a black guy" any more than Hillary is "just a woman" or McCain is "just a white guy"

  16. Don't look now, but he's just as white as he is black.  Fair & balanced!

  17. of course... but its not the person that matters, its the policies that he/she will bring with him/her

  18. I think America is ready.  The question is are the black people ready for it?

Think about it; it will mean the end of the age of the race card.  Never again will a black person be able to say that he didn't get the job or the promotion "because he is black" after we elect a black president...

  19. Yes, America is ready for Alan Keyes!

  20. Why wouldn't it be?

  21. Doesn't matter if he is black or not.

    But it DOES MATTER if:

    Can He Lead The Country?

Will He Throw Us Into a Socialist State?

Will DEMOCRACY Thrive Under His Leadership?

  22. The real America is. The United States of JesusLand(i.e. the south) is not. But who gives a rats rear end what they think!

  23. Yes, but we don't need a socialist in the Whitehouse.

  24. YES

  25. YEA I THINK THEY BETTER BE CUZ IM A DEMOCRAT AND I THINK ITS TIME WE HAVE ONE SO I THONK YEA THEY GOTTA BE READY THIS WE THE FIRST  BLACK PRESIDENT

  26. Yes! Obama rocks! Democrat power!

  27. not at all
