  1. No, it seems like every year Honda and Toyota waste a fortune to go slower than the last season.

  2. Not the ghost of a sliver of a pinch of an atom of a chance.

  3. Yes,

wait till next season when the rules change and all designers start with a clean piece paper.

I don;t expect good teams to go bad or visa versa,

Honda are a very good team who have just lost their way.

A new era beginning next season will cut Honda's catch up time by years.

As for Jenson he has always been a good driver.

Put Kimi or Lewis in this years Honda and see how they would do, No better than Jenson

  4. Honda are a world away from the top.

You can't expect to just get there form one year to another.

Especially if you don't have the pedigree for that, they have never won it as a constructor.

Even if the rules next year play into their hands, a fast car is not enough to mount a title challenge, it's not that simple, or easy.

That doesn't mean they're not going to learn from their mistakes and achieve success in the future but I think the clock has been ticking for Button for some time now, I doubt he'll be the one to capitalize on that.

According to Murphy's laws the year Button will leave for another team in a quest for success he hasn't found at Honda, Honda will win it.

  5. Hi, i am a huge F1 fan, and have been watching it since i was 4   yrs old. I think that button has no chance of competing for the championship, as recent results show. If you watched the last race in France (Magny-Cours), you will have found out that he is considering another 3 year contract. However, if i was him, i'd be looking to change team soon, even if Honda have got ex-Ferrari boss. So anyway Button - no chance!

  6. It is possible and I hope so. Button is a good driver who whasn't had a really good car in years. Honda is not too good yet but they are improving. MAybe next year they will be one of the frontrunners. With a good car underneath him, JB will be able to lead the team's charge for the championships. After all he was quite impressive in 2004 (if I'm not mistaken)

  7. umm no not at all

maybe if he had a better chassis e.g ferrari or maclaren then

    he would

  8. I really really hope so as Button is worthy of a title chance, though if there is no joy next year it may be too late as I think Button has made more errors this year than all the others put together. I was cheering at the TV when he won at Hungary in 06 and I hope to do it again.

  9. I cannot ever see Honda improving to the extent that they are a match for Ferrari/Mclaren/BMW. They are light years behind. Button has also shown a terrible lack of ambition by staying so long at Honda. He should have pushed to replace Alonso at Mclaren this year, or maybe tried for BMW. He's lost his edge after such a promising start a few years ago to his F1 career. I think he's just happy to coast along, pick up his considerable pay check (apparently he is the 4th highest paid F1 driver!) and finish his career in mediocrity. He has lost his hunger and desire. But I guess that's what happens if you get paid mega-bucks every week for acheiving very little.

  10. Chances are the same as Englands chance of winning Euro 2008

  11. I wouldn't put anything past Ross Brawn. He has got a lot of determination.

To Matt D: We nicknamed the nose winglets 'dumbo ears'

  12. At the moment im working on next years cars aerodynamics.

It's going to be a great car next year i'm afraid i'm not allowed to tell you the details but... We've made dramatic changes to the side pods and me and my team have been working on the front and rear wings because thats the problem with the car at the moment we cant get the aerodynamics to deliver the power from the engine to... well...the track! I've also just finished on some tweaks which should be introduced onto the current car in Silverstone.

I have met Jenson many a time at the circuits when they call the aerodynamics team out and he likes to make sure he knows us well. I have also seen his tilemitry and it's fantastic! He is one of the best drivers out there for raw talent. The guy will be a world champion honest! It's just the car we've given him is a dog! I can remember Jense saying to me "the cars like a parachute on the straights" simply because of the aerodynamics.

Also Jenson is a very loyal driver but if he thinks it's going t**s up he'll leave. For this year he was offered a drive with Renault, BMW and Williams (but I think the contract for BMW started next year!) But he chose to stay because he knows there a very bright light a the end of the tunnel!

  13. Another massive F1 fan. Watched it ever since i was 2. i think. If Ross Brawn does good there then i recon they can. I'm sure Ross will do them wonders. But i for any reason that Ross can't then I don't think that Honda will ever challenge for a championship. I do respect the team but i think that Ross is their only hope of challenging for a title because he is the only one in the Honda garage that has that experience.

I hope they do challenge for the title though. One day.

  14. if theres nothing during 2009 i'd move if i were him. its a shame because hes probably got more talent then massa or dare i say hamiliton but hes never been given a car that can win a championship

  15. Absolutely!

  16. NO - sorry to say it but no i dont think they will challenge.  As a team, as a driver and also as a stand-alone vehicles they are light-years away from matching the front runners in F1.  In every respect you look at it, professionalism, training, budget/resources/backing, culture, pedigree, commercial market (soccer moms driver honda's), resource and development, technical expertise, ground-breaking innovation - > they some what / some how lag behind the top teams.

  17. I don't think Button will challenge for a world championship. He is a fantastically talented driver but looks to me as if he has lost his racing 'je ne sais quoi', which after the past few seasons he's had is utterly understandable.

Honda on the other hand are a technically brilliant set up and have a long and successful history in Formula 1. Ross Brawn will sort them out eventually!
