My parents didn't even let me play T-rated games until I was old enough to purchase them with my own hard-earned cash (which was age 17, incidentally). My mom nearly had a heart attack when I brought home my first M rated game at age 18. I'm 22 now; I moved out of my house almost two years ago, so the parent issue is irrelevant now.

I do have to say that there aren't too many M rated games that catch my interest anyway, so I never felt like I was missing anything.

yeah, they dont support it and always wanna try alternatives, but they know that i wont be affected by the violence, language etc!

its all about how much your parents trust you!

but the games i buy usually dont have them so im usually ok

i am 17 so it really doesn't matter

but my mom was always one to let me do that kind of thing

and my dad was always a little more iffy about it

Yeah, it usually depends.  If there is really bad violence or sexual stuff then no, but Call of Duty and Halo and Assassin's Creed, those are all good.

Wellll Im 18 now so i doesnt matter, but when I was under 17 by parents didnt really care honestly. Simply cause everyone in my family are gamers. Of course Im not going to go out and do everything I see on the video games......

my dad has been letting me play mature games since i have been 12 years old now iam 18 in i play games like mgs4 and gta4 any thing and every thing cause my dad told me i act older than i look i have 7 uncle that play ps3 and xbox 360 i grew up watching them play i get a rush playing all them killing games all the time  :)ava06

They never noticed I think, though I only had a couple games like that ever. I'm over 18 now though anyway so it doesn't matter anymore.
