  1. If it seems like the only broken part, just go to a motorsport store nearby and ask them if you can buy a replacement for the part.

  2. If you are worried the bike has done more work than you think pay someone who does know about bikes to go with you and take a look as spending a little bit for that service is better than buying a bike that is no good.

  3. on every bike ive had the right side of the engine always gets scratched up but you should go ride and see if you like it  but otherwise it sounds like a deal

  4. If you know someone who knows about bikes, se if they can go with you. I bought that same bike from a friend of mine about 7 months ago for $3500. Like someone said before, the casing will be scratched from mx boots, but it shouldnt be dented or anything. One thing is, you need to check your engine oil before every ride. and make sure you put oil in the right side of the motor. that mistake cost me a lot of money. right side is clutch, left side is engine.

  5. Auburn - I wouldn't even bother yourself with likes of a certain answerer. Clearly you are able to answer questions (and if I might ad - solve them)

something I suspect the certain answerer is incapable of achieving.

I'd call it extreme IGNORANCE !!!

Sooooooo, in light of the question, re the Honda,

I'm with Auburn and Mr Wiggy on this one.

    Tuttar for now - x*x -

  6. Wait for the official Australia answer.

  7. just buy it.

    live and learn.

  8. 15 hours is very low even if the bike was purchased as a left over in '06 so he might be jerking your chain a bit on that. Yes the casing next to the shifter will have the finish worn off within just a few rides if wearing MX boots. It should not be beat up or dinged, just worn. There is no need to replace it for that reason. The 2005 had a better motor, in my opinion, than the newer models do. It has much better low end and works equally as well in the woods or on the track. $3000 sounds like a fair price. I race a CRF250 and really love that bike. Auburn, in my opinion you give some of the best answers on this site, I don't know what this d1ckhead hawk_barry's problem is but after reviewing some of his Q&A's it is obvious he knows nothing about motorcycles.

  9. Do it!!! Buy it.  I want one.
