Never Played Fullback Always Linebacker I'd Played Pop Warner 3years And Now I'm In Highschool. I'm 5"7 bout 170 pounds.

  2. not required but, I would wear them. besides the safety issues, they present the defender with a very intimidating image. ever seen pictures of Herschel Walker or, Christian "the nigerian nightmare" Okoye, in uniform? then, You understand.

  5. That depends on your role. If you're primarily blocking, you're probably not going to take a lot of shots. If you're running inside a lot, you may get some added protection from it.  Your size and weight have nothing to do with how hard, or how often you'll get contact in your back.  

    I never wore a cup my entire career (felt it slowed me down) and never took a shot there.  Would never recommend to others not to wear one.  Individual decision.

  7. Yes, anything legal to protect yourself and add weight. It comes in handy when ramming the defensive line (to make holes where there are no holes), which is part of the job as a fullback.
