Do a non EU national having a working visa in an EU nation require a visa to visit Switzerland?

A person working in Germany having employment visa and resident permit in Germany would like to visit Switzerland for a week or so.

  1. Non EU PP holders with valid residence permit of UK need not take a separate Visa for Switzerland.

    I believe germany will also be no different.
