  1. Yeah, as they grow out your nails look like c**p if you took them off because they sand down your actual nail.  They grow back perfectly normal though, you just have to wait awhile. It hurts to take them off. you can do it yourself or go back in and pay to have them removed.

  2. they can ruin your nails, they can grow the wrong way, and look deformed.

and if not taken care of. fungus and mold can actually grow underneath, it happened to my friend. take care of them, and your natural nails, and you should be good.

    :]

    good luck

  3. although i love how pretty they are when they are freshly done i will never get them again. as it is i've only gotten them done like 4 times but its been horrible every time.

ok i will not deny that while i have them my nails grow out but getting them off kills them. they can only soak off, or have the patience to soak off so they drill it off, yes drill which takes off layers of your actual nail off too, leaving all these horrible and painful rivets in your nail bed. on top of that while i would have the nails on they would begin to pull my real nail up from the nail bed so needless to say once i had them removed my nails were almost painfully sensitive for MONTHS afterward. They would hurt if i had them in water that was too hot or too cold which made showering h**l. the deep grooves that they DRILLED into my nails looked horrible and took forever to grow out.

So to answer your question yes they do damage your nails, seems to slow the growth process after they are removed and an acetone solution is usually used to remove them in which you soak your fingertips in the solution and the technician usually drills off that which cant be soaked off.

  4. Yes, you can get them on your toenails too, and if properly done, they don't or shouldn't damage your nails much.  The technician needs to remove the top Shiny layer of your nail to apply acrylics, you have 6 more layers.  When untrained or uncaring techs use electric manicure machines, they sometimes take off more than they should, particularly during fills.  To remove the nails, soak them in pure acetone and every ten minutes, push softened acrylic off the nails.  When the are clear, give them a light buffing.

  5. They can damage your nails. Sometimes there is discoloration or your nails become coarser. Also, your nails can be damaged when you remove them. To properly remove them, you soak your nails in nail polish remover; however, many people choose to pick them off, which will ruin the surface of your nails.

  6. Yes, they do horrible things to your nails and once you go and have them removed it could take months, and i mean months to get your nails healthy and back to normal again. I hate those things

  7. Yes they do.  They can do a lot of damage.  Solar nails are better for your real ones.

  8. yes. If you have good nails don't ever do acrylics.  It can ruin them.

  9. I used them a few times and noticed just in a few months that my nails seemed thinner. They also left a ridge across my natural nail where the acrylics had been glued. My nails started breaking along that ridge once they grew out to that point. I stopped getting them.

  10. acrylic does damage your nails. your nail does grow back but in the same way some nails way like lines in them and they hurt. because i got my nails done and it made my nails very weak and it would hurt to put them under water. to get them off you have to soak them in nail polish remover or you can bite them off which hurts worse.

  11. they could depending how frequently you use them
