  1. only if you have leave save up. and then you need to submit it as soon as you get there. if you are going to be living of base your allowed 6 days for house hunting, that don't count as leaved used. also remember that you can carry more then 60 days of leave to the next fiscal year.

  2. All active duty service members accrue annual leave at the rate of 2.5 days per month for a total of 30 days per year.

This leave time does not include the Holidays that Civilians enjoy as well.

Depending on when you wish to celebrate your birthday, and how far you are away, you may consider requesting something like a 72 hour, or 96 hour pass. This allows you to miss 1 - 2 days of work, and not be charged Annual Leave for the 4 days.

Check this option out when you get to your Duty Station with your Section Leader.

  3. You get 30 days a year.

When you can take those days depends on your boss, what your work schedule is like, etc.

The link provided above is for reservists who work for the Federal Govt, and want to take time off from their civilian jobs to do their reserve duties.  Not really your situation.

  4. Read this.

  5. Of course!

Leave is granted according to how much you have accrued, and if the time available. If your requested leave is in conflict with the needs of the Air Force, then it won't be granted. Manning is a major factor, as are deployments.
