Do airfares go down to the Caribbean during September?

YES, prices on everything go down in Sept., but its also hurricane season, and alot of businesses close for vacations during this time.  The upside is that the amount of fellow vacationers are also less, which transfers to deserted beaches and no waiting lines to eat at restaurants.

normally yes. But it seems like this year however for most airlines the reduction wasn't as much. Plus the price for each checked bag went up while the weight per bag allowed decreased.

Airfares go down, hotel prices go down, less direct flights to your destination, many restaurants also close for renovations before high season starts up again. It's gets quiet in the Caribbean.)

Hurricane season at it's peak. Be careful.
