When you work for the company for 10 years, you fly for free(Coach) First Class is an additional $40 bucks domestically $80 internationally, but you get Vacation Passes 2 per person in your family (Plus parents!) that are totally free no taxes....It's not just pilots that get these perks,,, even lowly gate agents get them... :) We get yearly bonuses too

    Reduced fares, yes...

    Jump seats are free for pilots, family is paying reduced fares...

  3. In many airlines immediate family flies free.  When they fly on other airlines they fly cheap, but not free; the pilot usually flies free.

  4. My mom's friend's daughter is a pilot for American Airlines Boeing 777-200. She brought her mom in First Class for free to Rome, Italy.

    Personally I don't know how airlines manage these, but my mom came along with in First Class to Rome, Italy with a 75% discount round-trip!
