Do airports currently require you to remove electronics from carry-on luggage during security screenings?

For example - iPod, digital camera, voltage converter, camera/iPod charger, etc.

  1. They only item that I have ever had to take out of the carry on luggage was my laptop and I always travel with my ipod, camera, and cell phone.


  2. in canada... during security screenings they make you remove your electronics from carry on  luggage but after security checking you are allowed to take them on the plane and use them

    dont worry the check does not harm the electronics

    and they do not turn them on to check

    only things you are NOT allowed taking as carry on are:

    liquids and gels

    even if you purchased them beyond the checkpoint

  3. In the US laptop computers and video cameras must be removed.  All other items may remain in carry-on baggage.

  4. yes, you have to take anything with an on/ off switch out of your bag and put it in its own container.
