Question:

Do alfalfa pellets for rabbits go bad?

I've got a huge bag of alfalfa pellets and now I know that I should've gotten Timothy pellets! But now that I have them, I want to feed them to my baby bunny slowly so she won't grow obese, but that could take forever to finish the bag! Will they go bad and is there anything I can do to keep them longer lasting like maybe keeping them in the refrigerator?

Thanks! =)

  1. Keep them in a cool dark place in a tupperwear box and they will last for ages.  You'll know when they start to look or feel bad.

  2. Just keep them in airtight container. Just feed with what you prefer use as a filler.

  3. u cant keep them longer lasting they will be fie for a coulpe of months any way and the pellets are fine to give my rabbit loves alfalfa grass
