Do aliens really exist?

Considering the vastness of the universe, I'd be shocked if there weren't alien life somewhere out there.  However, there's no good evidence that there's been any contact with alien life here on Earth... the vastness of the universe also makes it extremely unlikely that any two civilizations would ever stumble across each other.  It'd be like the odds of a dung beetle on one end of the Sahara meeting a scorpion on the other end.  It's not impossible, but it's very unlikely.

It depends on how you define an alien.  Science statistically indicates that the odds for life to exist as we know it is highly improbable.  But I also recall reading old science books.that stated unequivocally that there can't be life in the Marianna Trench and how the pressure was to great and life needed sunlight - and now they have found animals that contradict these very same science based criteria.  So in closing there is life...far more intelligient than we are.

there has to be something out there, can't just be a long empty black blanket of nothingness. plus i think the aliens were already here, i believe the governments are hiding that proof. what about all the soldiers who said they saw something but they were told not to say anything? i believe they were already here but the truth is kept from us.

it'd be kinda selfish for us humans to think we're the only intelligent beings in the whole vast universe.

I'm pretty sure aliens exist, but it's not likely that they can contact us, or we can contact them. Time and space separates us all.

Of course they do.....at last estimate, there are 13 or 14 million in the US, and most of them vote democratic.
