  1. That good possibly from the era of German occupation durring world war II. It might even be worth having appraised.

  2. I have a few swiss army knifes and none of them have that carved into it. It must have been something done on the older knifes.

  3. i have one of the larger ones and it isnt engraved, is it a genuine swiss army knife?(has a shield and cross logo). would think that knife is  on the smaller side if it only has 2 tools. mine has 14 plus a tweezer and toothpick

  4. The official Swiss Army Knife is only made by two companies,  Victorinox and Wenger, though there are a lot of cheap and nasty copies of them.  Can't help you with Dieffenbacher.  I have a large collection of these knives and none have that inscription.  By the way, there was no German occupation of Switzerland during WW2, as Switzerland was a neutral country.

  5. I have a Swiss Army Knife with some kind of award certificate engraved on it

Many companies used to pass out knives as little tokens of appreciation or for salesmen to give  to their clients

back before we all got to PC for that type of thing

What did your grandfather do for a living

Dieffenbacher was a company that manufactured and maintained hydrolic presses

This is exactly the type of company that would pass knives out to clients and employees

  6. Negative, I have a couple and nothing like that on them.

  7. Mine doesn't, it's fairly new, so no.

  8. It is probably a custom engraved "gift" knife.

Something probably handed out to buyers of industrial equipment. From the Diffenbacher Company.

Like salesmen give out pens and mugs....but this would be for higher level people. Definately something given to a prospective customer during a round of golf, etc...

  9. I don't know but isn't that a "Das Reich" 2nd Waffen SS Panzer Division  rune (emblem) that you have in place of an avatar?

  10. mine doesnt say that i dont even know if it sais anything...i forget
