Do all UFC fighters have 6-figure contracts? or make something close to that?

Or do only the winner of TUF get that? And, how exactly do you get on TUF?

  1. They get six figures, but not with the contracts. It is more of a helping hand by sponsors.

Some sponsors dish out more money than the UFC does.

  2. I think most only receive one fight contracts. If they have a stinker, they're gone. So no, they aren't on six-figure contracts.

Don't you have to be scouted to appear on TUF? I don't think you can just apply.

  3. The TUF guys actually dont make a whole lot when you consider their "star" status. You make what the UFC is willing to give you essentially. The winners of the show will make about 10-20K a fight, which is decent but the duration of the contract is pretty long. Hypothetically if you string off 4 straight wins you've become a pretty famous guy but middle-of-the-roads like Rich Clementi, Jeremy Horn, and Dean Lister are making significantly more ($20K+ per fight) than you. I kind of look at it like an insurance policy, if they string off some wins it's likely they could have made much more, if they lose a few times, its likely the UFC wouldnt keep them around. More often than not though it doesnt work in the fighters favor. Josh Kos' just resigned a new deal, in his last fight he made under $20K; now I imagine he'll make in the neighborhood of $35K to show, double if he wins.

  4. no usually they are certain number of figth over a period of so many months eaxmple brad morris who lost to cain vazquez had a 4 fight deal with UFC over 18 months

  5. Not all UFC fighters have a 6 figure contract. You gotta understand these (most) guys (and girls) love to fight. To be an MMA fighter takes a lot of work. work. and work. 6 figure contracts don't come unless you are around the top tier. Yest the winner of TUF gets one. But the top guys right now (champs) get more than 6 figures. Especially because of endorsements, etc.

Now to get into TUF...I think they have qualifying runs somewhere, you'd have to check the website. Good luck!
