  1. yes all planes leave a white trail behind called condensation contrails if flying at a low temperature,,,  what happens is that exhaust gases have water vapor in them so when the hot air comes out of the exhaust  and meets the outside cold air the water vapor coming out of the exhaust tube becomes saturated so it condenses as water vapor like clouds  so u see a White trail behind,,   its simply water vapor condensing due to cold tempreture outside.....   remember  the higher the aircraft the more likely it will develop this wite trail due to colder tempreture,,,,,   especialy in winter times,,,,,

  2. no they don't all leave trails. i'm a student pilot and the planes that do are mostly commercial airliners. aerobatic planes add the smoke to make trails for show.

  3. not all planes do, but they all can. its caused by water vapor flowing over the wing. mostly only stunt planes, and other aggresivly manuevered planes...

  4. Contrails are left by any aircraft flying at a high enough altitude with low enough temperatures and sufficient moisture in the air. Basically, what you are seeing is cold, damp air that is sucked through a warm engine and coming out as condensed water vapor behind the aircraft much like your breath being visible on a cold day.

As for the chemtrail c**p, I think its just that. Conspiracy theories abound around everything.

  5. I watched the video... crazy, crazy people.

The contrails you see behind high flying aircraft occur as one of the biproducts of the fueling burning process is water.  At high altitudes where the air is cooler, if you have moist, stable air and not much wind to dissipate the contrail, the extra water that is produced by the engine is enough to saturate the air around it and will basically form a cloud.

There were some interesting studies done after all the aircraft were grounded after 9/11 as there was, and still is, some speculation that the lack if emmisions from the aircraft actually impacted the weather.  If I recall some preliminary data suggested that while theoretically there could be a change it was too small to measure.  I am not sure if that is the final word on this issue though.

So, in short all jet aircraft given the right environmental conditions can make a contrail but it is not what is referrenced in the video.

I hope this helps answer your question.

  6. No.  Contrails occur only under certain conditions, and are in no way harmful.  They are just a little steam, identical to what you get when you remove the lid from a pot of boiling water.

There is no poison plot.  That's ignorant garbage.

  7. The Chemtrail conspracy is pure unadulterated rubbish. I took a look at that video you suggested. By saying that the "purported" chemist is out to lunch would be generous, to say the least.

These hoaxers are relying on the fact that most folks weren't paying attention when they were in high school science class. It's pretty easy to capitalize on the ignorance of the masses.

  8. Whether a plane leaves a trail or not depends on the weather conditions at the altitude they are flying. That chemtrails stuff is just nutjobs that tightened the chin strap on their tinfoil hats one notch too far.

  9. the contrails are the same type of phenomenon that cause a car's exhaust to smoke on a cold morning. It just happens at certain atmospheric conditions, which typically only occur at higher altitude.
