  1. not necessarily

all animals give birth to young ones its just a  matter of how

if youre talking about live birth then all mammals give live birth with the exception of the platypus with is an egg-layer

some snakes give live birth and some are egg-layers

some animals have eggs that develop inside them (ovovivparous)

    no particular pattern

  2. No, there is no relationship between exterior ears and giving birth to "live young" (as opposed to laying eggs).  Most sea mammals (like whales), for example, give live birth but do not have externally visible ears.  There are also fish and reptiles that birth live young rather than laying eggs that do not have externally projecting ears.  There really is not a readily visible indicator that allows you to determine if a species lays eggs or gives birth.

  3. I'm not sure what your question is asking... sorry

  4. Nope.  Only the females can give birth.
