Do all auto insurance co's require a down payment?

I need to get auto insurance, and I wanted to know if they all require me to pay upfront, or are there any that will allow me to pay after the policy has been established? Basically policy start today, but my first payment wont be until September.

If they don't have an existing relationship with you, it's highly unlikely that coverage will begin before they receive payment.  They don't want the risk of being on the hook to pay out if you have an accident, without having received at least a little money.
