Do all cars have a pass lock system?If they do can i get it disabled by the dealership?Thanks Nancy?

I'm talking about gm cars,saturns,toyotas,fords,etc....im looking to get a different car,but i don't want one with a passlock system in.Is a there a car they make that don't have the passlock built right in.The passlock system sucks.....Nancy

All GM cars and trucks have passlock and no it cannot be disabled, its a theft deterrent device built into the ignition cylinder.

Passlock is a GM exclusive theft-deterrent system, though it doesn't really keep thieves away.

Not by the dealer, but you can get it disabled, I have had it done by stereo shops before to install remote-start systems.
