  1. this Yak Rider dude doesn't know what NBC is, haha, NVC and NBC is not the same thing.

    I think you mean NBC as the National Benefits Center which is located in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

    You're right, all cases processed there require biometrics and interview before approval but if the immigration officer reviewing your case decides you are not required to go to your local office for an interview, he may transfer your case to the California Service Center.

    Don't worry, if you do not have anything to hide there's no problem with the interview and in most cases, an interview is required so don't feel bad.

  2. NVC.... the National Visa Center sends completed applications out to consulates.  Everyone, except for small children, are interviewed.  100%.  No exceptions.

    The NVC cannot, does not, authorize a Green Card for anyone.  That's not their job.
