I took a semster off for personal reasons, and I am going to college in the Spring. But I'm going when I try to apply to the colleges I want to go to, they only have information on FALL terms.

What's going on? And what does ROLLING ADMISSION mean?

  1. Not all colleges have applications for the spring term. If you attend a private university, chances are they won't allow you to come back until the 2nd semester. However, MOST colleges that are on a quarter system should.

A lot of state schools accept people throughout the year. But, if you attend a private university, then they won't allow you to come back, unless you discuss your situation with them ahead of time (i.e. medical grounds).

Rolling Admissions- a college that accepts applications year round.
