Do all colleges/uni require four years of all subjects (english, history, etc.)??

Im looking into schools in the MD,DC,VA area...im planning to take english and history this year but im not sure if i need to take extra classes...this is my senior year.

No, but most do.  And it really has nothing to do with prestige either.  Cal Tech for example is one of the most prestigious schools in the world - and it only requires 3 years of English and no foreign language.  Best to contact the schools you are interested in.
