Do all cooks hate waitresses ?

Cause they work half as much and get paid four times the ammount ?

And they're mostly hot chicks (and tiny g**s) that wouldn't know hard work if it bit them on their cute little asses.

  1. i dont think so personally i dont hate them its not there fault they get the tips if only the compny centralise the tips it would be lovely its just sometime depressing

  2. I was never a waitress or a cook. But i work at McDonald's, and a lot of times new people would ask, whats easier grill (cook basically) or service. Most agree grill is harder work (have so many sandwiches to make,  grill feels like a hundred degrees) but service people have to deal with customers-nuff said. Service people also have  figure out what customers really want and react quickly to situations. Grill is more streamlined. I work both and my opinion is the work is equally as difficult, just a different kind of work. I think that  would be how most cook in a restaurant would view waitress too.

  3. No, I don't think so. I worked in the food industry for many years. There were definitely a few that made my life miserable, but then again they made everyone's life miserable and as a result didn't last long. In my experience you definitely rely on one another to make the money. If you're not doing your part to get the food out in a timely and quality manner, that effects their tips. This in turn effects your kickback on their money. Waitresses generally tip the cooks and bussing staff. Their job is to turn over table quickly to make the money and yours is to help make it happen. Although cooks generally manage the wait staff, the wait staff definitely runs the show. They're the ones who  delegate the breakdown shares on the tips afterall. Some waitresses suck to be sure, but those waitresses generally move on to live exciting lives at the post office, dmv, or your local strip joint where they are truly paid accordingly for their lack of personality and "other" assets.

  4. i was a waitress for 5 years...i only had one cook ever hate me. but he hated everyone, and got fired for eating all of the food. other than that, the cooks and servers where i worked (2 different places) always got along.

  5. the cooks just want to nail the waitresses.

  6. No, all waitresses do not make 4x's as much as a cook, and as far as their job being a cake walk..far from the truth. Waitresses can have just as much stress on the job as a cook.

    You sound a little bitter..

  7. I was a cook for 10 years and none of my waitresses came close to making what I did, and some worked 50 hours a week. I was a server for 5 years before moving to the BOH and becoming a cook and never had a problem with any of the cooks. Trust me servers work just as hard as cooks, sometimes harder. You should try doing both before making any judgements.

  8. yeah i think they do

  9. Haha only when they wouldn't date me.  Nah just hate the way its set up, cooks (for the most part) do all the work, and don't get any of the tips.  That and some of the waitresses I've known were stuck up b*****s.

  10. Sometimes they do depends on their chemistry!
