  1. Yes, all credit cards have a limit.  You can call your credit card company and ask for an increase.  They will review your credit and determine if you are creditworthy.

    Of course, if you use the account and pay in full every month, they will automatically increase your limit every year or so.


  2. Yes they do in order to have your credit line raised, it's based on how you make your payments if there always on time? if you were ever late in making them, and how long you've been established with them?

  3. Yes they do. This is established by the card issuer at the time they approve your credit card. You can get your limit raised

    1. Without asking and the card company will just do it if they feel you are worthy of an increase

    2. You can ask the card company and they'll approve or deny based on your past payment history with them, history with on other accounts and current credit score. You may or may not get it even if you have good credit based soley on the fact that credit and lending is super tight nowadays.


  4. Well I can attest that back in 1980, the American Express Gold Card had no limit.  HOWEVER....  The balance was expected to be paid in full each month also.........

    No idea if it still holds true.
