Question:

Do all four oceans meet one point?

If so, can you pinpoint where for me? And, if not, is there a point where three oceans meet?

Any listings of the point where any two oceans meet (preferably the two largest meeting) would be appreciated, as well. I've tried google for this and couldn't find anything. And I suck with maps, so that's why I'm asking. Thanks in advance.

  1. First of all, no, there is no place where the four oceans come together.  The Arctic Ocean is located within the Arctic Circle and the Indian Ocean doesn't go north of South Asia.  Second of all, scientists generally consider there to be 5 oceans (with the addition of the Southern Ocean which encircles Antarctica).

If you don't include the Southern Ocean, the three largest oceans come together around Antarctica, but never do all three touch.

The Atlantic and Pacific meet between the tip of South America and the tip of Antarctica.  The Atlantic and Indian meet between Cape Agulhas, South Africa and Antarctica.  The Indian and Pacific meet along the Indonesian archipelago and between Tasmania and Antarctica. The Atlantic and Arctic meet north of Canada, Greenland, and Scandinavia.  The Pacific and Arctic meet at the Bering Strait between Alaska and Eastern Russia.
