It depends on the measure of integrity.  If you are talking about influential people in politics, many times they are not as faithful to their spouses as American mores would dictate--Clinton, Kennedy, King--but they are influential in leadership.  

If you are talking popular stars, then being influential isn't necessarily tied to integrity at all, such as Lohan or Spears.  

Though it could be argued that being infamous is not the same as influential, the fact that these people are constantly written about is enough to cause behavior change along some strata of society.

No.  Some are as ingnorant as dirt, but still manage a following.

to some degree, yes...most influential people are so well-known they are watching what they do and say because people are keeping an eye on them....but not all, there are influential people who talks and talks but nobody believes like the traditional politicians here in my country....
