Do all newborns throw thier arms around and kick their feet while crying?

Its so cute first he throws his arms around right before he starts crying, like he is having a total fit, he's only 10 days old. Do all babies do this? I never noticed this before on other babies

Yes my baby does that, he is one month old today, he also kicks his feet like crazy like a little tantrum, I think it is cute too.  One time when I picked hiim up when he was upset he started to kick his legs in the air like crazy and I could not help but to laugh!

Yes, It is normal for babies to fling arms and legs around... it is a reflex like this that wakes them up, then they get upset about that.  This is why they teach you to swaddle your newborn, so they feel cozy and won't wake themselves up with their movements.  If the hospital didn't teach you how to do this ask someone to show you.  there is also a special blanket that "does it for you" called Swaddle-Me....I haven't used it but am planning to for #2.
