  1. Ours are kept on a computer system.  Each Officer also has their own daily activty log.

  2. yes....it's the duty

  3. No they do not not. During my 25 years in law enforcement we were never required to keep a log of calls. Sometimes we did it just to record what we had done in a shift but we were nevered required to keep a log (written or on a computer). Our dispatch center (911) keep all records concerning our calls dates, times, how long it took us to respond, etc. When you are on the road, you do not need to worry about keeping logs, you have to much other to occupy your time and effort.

  4. for what exactly are you asking

  5. To answer your question, the desk keeps a record of all calls that come into head quarters which is called a blotter, or blotter event.

The officer keeps a log book, which tells the date and time he was dispatched to the call, and any other information he might need to write out the report if one is needed.

I hope this answerer's your question

  6. Your question does not have enough information to answer.  Daily logs of what?  Then again I guess I just answered your question.
