Question:

Do all portable FM transmitters broadcast audio in mono?

I have been looking for an FM transmitter for my iPod and found the V6000 FM transmitter (http://www.mobileblackbox.com/content/view/40/75/) the specs of this transmitter are so great that I even thought about buying it, but then I saw that it only outputs audio in mono. This FM transmitter costs $100, and for this price tag I imagine it is one of the best FM transmitters out there. I imagine that if this FM transmitter is not capable of transmitting in stereo sound, then there are no other such FM transmitters that can. Am I correct? And if you can offer alternative FM transmitters that can transmit a signal up to 450 ft., I would appreciate it.

  1. There are plenty of wireless audio transmitters that send stereo audio. The usual limitation is range. Typically, they go about 100-150 feet, because they make them as small as possible (Smaller antenna, smaller power source). At $100, the V6000 is mid-range in price. If you look for stereo wireless audio senders you'll find quite a few (I found 2 within 30 seconds) but they only go about 100 feet. You would have to search through a lot of sites to find one that goes 450 ft.

  2. If you want your transmitter to be stereo sound or modulated in stereo, you can add or equip with "stereo encoder" board.

  3. did you look at the other transmitter on their site ?

the others say stereo right on them.

Or you could try one of these great transmittes
