  1. No, not all Philippine restaurants serve "pinikpikan."  I once ordered pinikpikan at a resto in Makati, but the name of the resto escapes mo.

  2. It's called "pinikpikan", a native chicken dish prepared in a native prayer ritual before it's cooked. Due to its cultural/tribal origin, it is not served in all restaurants in the Philippines. You have to visit the places where the dish has originated, such as in Baguio City (where you can find a lot of restaurants serving it there) and most areas in the Cordillera region and Northern Luzon.

  3. (Oh my....) I am a Filipino and I think that what you are looking for does not exist. Furthermore, the word is a local language that relates to the female s*x organ. If someone told you that what you ate was named "pinekpekan", probably he or she is misleading you.

  4. not at McDonalds

  5. no, not all restaurants serve pinikpikan as it is commonly prepared and served during igorot (cordillera tribes) festivities or religious rituals called canao (kanyaw). there are restaurants in baguio city and other cordillera provinces that do serve the exotic dish.

to savor the dish and the rituals that go along with it, i would suggest that you go to rizal, kalinga during the pinikpikan festival. in baguio city, you can go to the tam-awan village for a taste of the authentic pinikpikan.
