  1. Yep they all do,i think.

  2. Not really.  Not all animals have a pouch like hamsters.  All hamsters will, though.

Gerbils don't really have a pouch or anything (if they do, it's really small), but they still carry food to a specific corner to hide it in.

My mouse hid his food as well, all the time.

Rabbits aren't rodents, but I also think they don't do that..

Chinchillas are rodents, but mine doesn't.  Then again, he doesn't really have any place to put it, lol.

To a certain degree though, every animal does.  Out in the wild, many animals save up food for when they need it.  Squirrels will bury nuts (God forbid they ever find them again) and store them, chipmunks hibernate and store some food for when they wake up, etc.  Bears also do the same thing and they're not rodents at all. ;D

The only animal I don't think save up food in nests or whatever are fish and birds..

    I hope I helped.  ^^

  3. gerbils dont have cheek pouches, they dont hoard.

  4. no Nutria don't or the Capybara

  5. I don't think so, but some do. My gerbils dig through their food bowl to find what they want, then run into a hole or corner to eat it away from the other gerbils.

  6. Most will to a degree, but it depends highly on species and individual personalities.

For example, I have both rats and mice. My mice never hoard their food - though many mice do exhibit this behavior. Some of my rats hoard everything they can get their teeth/hands on, others are content to just go to their food bowls and get what they want to snack on, and leave the rest behind.

  7. No they don't,

Hamsters use their pouches to hoard there's, rodents like mice and rats just haord theirs in a corner, so yeah most rodents do, but not all of them. Guinea pigs don;t hoard food at all. :)
