We have just had new turf laid and my husband seems to think there are rotary lines that do not have to be concreted.

  1. You can get a spike you hammer in but it will soon work loose.

  2. i have a ground spike and i tend to over load the rotary lines making it quiye heavy but never had a problem with it.  The grass is fine

  3. I have recently seen a support that screws into the soil using a special tool supplied it can be repositioned at will

  4. The rotary line, Australia's most noted invention! There are models available with a spike you hammer into the ground.

  5. T he base has to be,Otherwise it will fall over.

  6. Mine isn't, you can buy spike like things ( sorry not very technical!) they go in to the grass with a mallet. We have one and it works well but quite hard to get it straight first time. When I brought my rotary line they sold them separate but in the same place. Go and have a look in your local DIY store

  7. No, they come with a spike that pushes in to the ground (lawn) and the pole then pushes in to the spike.

  8. The spike goes into the ground, cover the top with a piece of wood and hammer it into the ground,so it is level with the surface, than your line is completed.

  9. not really,go to B&Q they sell a spike that screws into the ground, you will find it in the same aisle as ropes and chains,it looks like a big spring.
