No.  According to the Mazda website (mazdausa.com), the Bose speaker systems are standard in the Grand Touring and "R3" only.  I'm not sure what the R3 is all about, but it seems to be loaded with goodies for 2009.  The regular, non-Bose audio system (for the Sport and Touring trims) contains 6 speakers and is paired with a single CD player (wattage unspecified).  The Bose system consists of 9 speakers (300 W) and is paired with a 6-CD changer.  For 2009 it appears that the latter is capable of playing regular and mp3 CDs.  I have a 2007 Grand Touring and for that year it only plays regular CDs.
