  1. If your thinking about buying a sailboat just go and look at it.

Or ask the seller what amenities are in the boat.  It depends a lot the size of the boat.

  2. no not all sail boats just gotta go inside and look or ask the captian

  3. only the ones that do....you could look

  4. No - as others have said, the only way to know is to go look or ask the seller.    You are more likely to find them inside on newer boats over 30 feet or so.   You probalby wont' find them on most older boat under 30 feet.

The importnace of havnig an inside shower, of course depends on the weather.  For fair weather sailing I personally do not like internal showers.    Everything in the bathrooms tends to get wet, they promote mildew, and the water needs to be pumped out.  It is also very easy for guests to use up your limited water too fast.

The sunshower, may seem basic, but it's verry practical.    It' water you can carry in addition to what is in your water tank and since they are flexible they can fit in many odd locations, even the bilge.    It's easy to monitor you water usage.  You have warm water, simply by laying them in the sun or filling them wiht water you've heated on the stove.  Most sailboats that have cockpits showers do not have warm water.

If havnig an internal shower is really important to you, you may be able to retrofit one without too much work.   As long as there is space to stand and room enough under the head floor to install a shower sump, it's a relatively easy upgrade as far as those kinds of projects go.  I say this because it may open up more and less expensive boat options.

  5. Not all sail boats have installed showers.

There is what is known as a "solar shower"  Water that warms in the sun, you hang from the boom for a shower.

We had an installed shower that was attached to the sink, drain in the floor of the head, then pumped overboard.

What I used most was a garden sprayer, pump up the pressure, shower in the cockpit.

  6. Over the years most i have seen under 29.9 ft do not have the room for one, unless it is outside in the cockpit

  7. Small ones typically don't (30ft and under). Like someone else said, you can often shower outside and you'll probably prefer it over time.

I've seen boats where you sit on the toilet and shower just to get the maximum utilitarian value of the space.

  8. No all boats are equipped with what the owner can afford>At the time and change threw the life of the boat>
