It's a small state preschool of 175 days operating school year. It starts in approximately September and ends some time in June. The teachers are on an hourly timeclock and they get a paid break for lunch and an hour and a half of paid preparation time. They also get paid for 11 holidays throughout the school year. Winter break is 2 weeks. Spring Break is one week. Summer Break is 2 months. All the breaks are unpaid and teachers claim unemployment during the summer. I know some larger state preschools pay for these longer breaks ...but are there some that can't afford to pay for these breaks? Are there some state preschools that don't pay for the spring breaks?
