Question:

Do all the product placements in the show "Psych" make it hard to watch for you?

The last time I watched the show Psych, there were at least 3 blatant product placements.

Like when they were pointing at something at a crime scene and a guy with a Dunkin Donuts jacket steps in from of what they are looking at so they start talking about how much they want to go to Dunkin Donuts.

Also at the end of the show the meet at Red Robin.

Both of these even had real commercials at the commercial breaks.

I really want to like the show because it comes on after Monk, which I really like. However seeing the script compromised for advertising is just hard to stomach.

Do you agree or disagree?

  1. I didn't even see the Dunkin Donuts part but I did notice they were in Red Robin.  Mostly I don't notice these things so it doesn't bother me much.

  2. With the invention of DVR's and TiVo, everybody's zapping through the commercials.

    Advertisers know this.

They had to come up with a way of advertising their product somehow.

Blatant Product Placement is what they've come up with.

(I knew this type of annoying BS would happen!)

  3. yes it does aggravate me, but its also fun to watch them

  4. Just about any show you watch, or movie for that matter, have tons of product placement.  It's how they pay for the shows and movies.
