  1. Not really.  Most simply want the rest of the world to be as miserable as they make themselves (they love company).

  2. No.  It will cost some people who know it's real a lot of money.  Just two examples:

"I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."

Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr.

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

The president of Caterpillar took a lot of heat because he agreed with the scientists.

The real example is Al Gore.  He could make FAR more money sitting on corporate boards or giving speeches on anything else.

What these people have in common is an understanding that, in the long run, uncontrolled global warming will cost EVERYONE more money than fixing it.

  3. Yes they do...the same people left out of the oil industry are the ones starting the green one.

  4. no some are scientist looking for name recognition so they can get better jobs at bigger or work at more will known collages.

some scientists are looking for money from speaking or lecture engagements

some scientist are long time tree huggers looking for recognition in the environmental movement.

it is a well known fact that there is a good old boy network in the collages and government of environmental  movement people.

it is well known that to get to middle or upper management in the BLM, forest service, or fish and game you must be a card carrying environmentalist.

the only exception is the fire people.

  5. yes, i live on earth so you could say that i have a stake in it.

  6. A spokesman for the Royal Society, Britain's leading scientific academy, said: "At present there is a small minority which is seeking to deliberately confuse the public on the causes of climate change.

"They are often misrepresenting the science, when the reality is that the evidence is getting stronger every day.

"We have reached a point where a failure to take action to reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions would be irresponsible and dangerous."

  7. I believe they all have the same belief in AGW which has carefully cultivated in them by the 'main stream media'.

They would NEVER dream of watching or hearing opposing viewpoints - just look how they denounce FOX / Rush.

The have an indirect financial stake because they will spend their money on what they believe in.

  8. yes, every single last one. Unlike deniers, who are all completely objective and impartial - like George Bush, for example, who has nothing to lose by accepting global warming is happening.

  9. What if we set YOU adrift on marginal pack ice, then tell you "it's all a hoax", as you watch your habitat slowly break up and disappear?

  10. Have you noticed all the "green" businesses that there are these days?

    SOMEONES  getting rich.

  11. No, there is just a massive amount of empirical evidence suggesting that the Earth is warming and we are at least partially responsible. Most of these scientists have no political of financial stake one way or the other. In fact, a scientist who were to disprove this theory would become famous. So there is incentive for dissent.

  12. Not all, some are just out right stupid.  remember 'meathead' from 'all in the family'?
