  1. No they can clamber up the trunks a bit but won't be able to get their back feet off the ground. Unlike lizards alligators are far too heavy to climb trees.


  2. Chain link fences, yes... trees, no... maybe get their front half up it a'la the "gator ringing the doorbell" pics ( http://www.voccoquan.com/images2006/alli... http://www.voccoquan.com/images2006/alli... http://www.blufftontoday.com/images/alli... ) but more than that? Definitely not.
