Do animal shelters/humane societies have a ""Do not adopt list" for people who simply inquire about available

cats or dogs? My friend has been considering either another cat or dog to fit in with his family's lifestyle and existing pets. He has filled out various applications and attended local adoption days, but so far he hasn't felt a connection once he meets the dog or cat. Well, now when he submits an application, he doesn' t even hear back. You would think an animal group would welcome someone looking for just the right match instead of adopting a pet on a whim and then not wanting it later. Oh, and over the last 9 months or so, he has only been interested in about 6 different pets throughout the state he lives in. So, again, is there a "do not adopt" list for frequent inquiry people ? I say NO, that a list like that would be silly since there is no harm being done in asking but not being lucky enough yet to find that "forever friend."

  1. I have never heard of them having one, i have volunteered before at a shelter, but i do know that we had our * lookers*  ones that we felt were only  lookers, and we did not take them seriously.

they had * looked*  so many times, that we felt that they were just that,  lookers,

like those that are * just looking* in a store,  if you do it too many times, then the clerks  dont really take you seriously or give you the same service anymore.

that  is just my opinion,   good luck  ;)

  2. I think guess who is right they probably see him as a window shopper and don't take him seriously anymore.

  3. Yes, but they are often private.
