  1. We cannot measure the concept of "souls", ergo this is not an Anthropological question. It's a philosophical question that cannot be answered empirically.

  2. If you accept that we as humans have a soul then you must accept that other animals have a soul. It's times like this that I am glad to be an Atheist.

  3. Of course they do,and when they die they go to Rainbow Bridge which is just this side of Heaven. There are meadows and trees for them to run and play.Food and water aplenty, and the sun shines all day! Only orang utans and gorillas are allowed in though. Not monkeys and especially not chimpanzees because they eat other monkeys brains. The bonobo chimps  who spend all day wanking and having s*x can't get in either, for obvious reasons.

  4. All animals are the same including primates.

  5. Why shouldn`t they they are animals the same as we are....

  6. a complex and unanswerable question (no silly juvenile answers please) and therefore I shall strenuously deny myself any attempts to answer it.

    Sash.

  7. Yes. Personally, I think it's pretty  ego/species centric when people try to argue that other living beings don't .(more indicative of human psychology and how the ego works than anything else)

  8. All living objects possess consciousness due to the presence of the soul. The soul by itself is unseen, formless and very subtle.Soul manifests itself through some form of body...in man, animal or bird.

  9. a soul is not a solid, tangiable or material thing. You either believe in the soul of things or you don't.

  10. Some say yes and some say no.  Will a monkey have to render accounts at the end to a higher more complicated level of collaboration for the hope of an eternal existence? Could we not reverse this and ask if there is such a thing as a monkey without a soul.  Is there a monkey out there that does not harbor the faith that it will continue on in another life due to its hope that a creator is at the heart of all there is.

  11. Well yes I would imagine so. If all living things have souls; they're definately living things therefore possess souls.

They could wonder the same thing about us...

  12. A soul is what we use to separate us from the animals. Too bad evolution can provide us with concrete reasons with evidence for our differentiation. There is no such thing as a soul.
