Do animals detect things we cannot see or hear?

My cat refuses to go into a certain room in my house. She will sleep in all the other rooms. She will follow me around the house, but will not enter this room. I have tried everything, putting food in there when she is hungry; if I carry her into that room she goes beserk! Other times she is a sweet loving cat.

I can spend a short time in the room but feel someone is behind me, looking at me.The hairs on my body rise and I feel cold. There is a horrible atmosphere in this room.

Can animals sense things that we can't?

  1. They can see the dead that still roam the Earth! Since they are both soulless creatures this is possible!

  2. YES. THEY REALLY CAN! YOUR CAT SENSES THE AURA OF A GHOST, SPIRIT, OR POLTERGEIST IN THAT ROOM, AS YOU YOURSELF HAVE FELT THE PRESENCE!

SAY SOME PRAYERS AND ASK FOR GOD TO PROTECT YOU!

    MUCH LUCK!

  3. All animals have better senses then humans. But don't allow what an animal does spook you into thinking it is something it is not. There are many plausible reasons your cat won't go into a room. There could be a snake in their or even under the room. or some other predator that cat's want no part of. the air in there could be too hot or too cold to us as humans we can't not feel much when it comes to these heighten senses but animals do.

my grandfather had a cat that would not go into a room we found by accident because he had a certain type plant that the cat didn't like the scent.

I don't want you to think that I am throwing out a paranormal reason as I do investigate and have for over 30 years and the same thing applies. If there is something paranormal an animal will avoid it.

  4. yes they do..they might not be like us but they can see feel paranormal things...i think you should not ignore this...

    i too have experienced it..

my dog used to cry just few hours before anyone's death whoever stays near to our place... as if he gets to know it before...

and yeah when mom used to take him to walk.. at a particular place  he used to back off with fear....

    sometimes it gets too scary....

  5. Cats of course have hearing and smell that is different (if not superior) to human beings. They also have keen eyesight (including the ability to see in much lower light than humans).

There was a test done once in a haunted location with a rat, rattlesnake, cat and dog. Only the rat did not  sense (or react) to something in the reportedly haunted room. The cat fled, the dog snarled and backed out of the room, the snake took up the strike position all focused on the same position in the room. So, they sensed something, if this was a normal (not seen by humans)environmental factor or a spirit, etc. is hard to say but they clearly sensed something. 6. This could go into many other realms!! If as some believe, everything is a big vibration resonating from the original "big bang" then it follows that certain things vibrating at a higher or lower frequency can be sensed/seen/heard by different animal that are attuned more in that direction. Maybe that is why some people say they see space ships and others see ghosts. We could not live at such depths, or heat as some creatures even on our planet.

So yes, I believe some animals can see /sense things at a different level to we mortals.

  7. yes animals are more sensitive to the paranormal, because they don,t bother with religion, like kids are force to get in to religion, till they are old nought to make up there own choices. but kids are more in to the paranormal then adults.

  8. Sell the house and move out ASAP!!

  9. Let my answer be something FRESH, or new...

Yes, cats can sense supernatural things. They have the ability to see ghost/spirtis... The same things happens to dogs... When a dog see a spirit/ghost, they would bark very loudly.. Like sometime in the middle of the night... I want to know if you have a religion. If you do, ask your priest/medium etc. to look around the house and see what you can do about it...

  10. This is well known. We do not know why they can react to an earthquake before the shock is felt by people.

  11. I know they can smell things that we can not and hear things that we sometiems can not... but im not sure about seeing. Human eyesight is pretty keen.

  12. Yes they can

they see spirits, auras and orbs and even angels

mine looks quite awed when it looks above me

and her head moves around at night as if its chaing something quite fast like an orb

    Children under five can too

  13. Yes in china in the 70 during winter snakes came out of the ground and froze to death a few hours later there was an earthquake!

  14. Yes but a paranormal explanation is not required..Pit vipers can detect IR from their prey, bees can see UV and are sensitive to polarised light..cetaceans can use ultra-sound to detect buried prey..and elephants use VLF frequencies to signal over hundreds of miles. Electric rays use  the fields produced to map and detect their surroundings. We ourselves are sensitive to these influences but lack the differentiated organs with sufficient discrimination. It is possible that strong em fields near power lines etc affect the behaviour of water molecules in our brains or attract positive ions to ourselves by induced polarisation.

  15. sure, i absolutely believe they can. i've seen on multiple occasions where my cat was aware of happenings (paranormal things) before me, one incidence involving a UFO, but animals in general are definately more in tune with the world than we are. perhaps we used to be that sharp too, but not now.

  16. Yes. For example, dogs can detect ultrasound, elephants can detect infrasound, trout can see ultraviolet, birds of prey have much more accute vision than us.

Also, animals often have a keener sense of smell than we do and can detect other things such as small air or water movements. Pigeons can detect magnetic fields. Sharks and rays can detect electrical fields. I think some animals (owls?) can detect infra-red too.

It is possible that your cat simply doesn't like that room for some non-logical reason. We used to have a cat who was very suspicious of many innocuous objects for no obvious reason. He'd always give an empty paper bag on the floor a wide berth and there was a rug he'd never walk on. It was just a bit nervous (it had been badly treated as a kitten).

  17. The vast majority of mammmals are dichromats, with two cone types similar to dueteranopes. Thus, they can perceive shades of blues, yellows, and grays. This is why hunters can wear bright orange safety vests, but not easily be seen by animals. A few primates have trichromatic vision like the majority of humans. Only one animal is a monchromat and sees only shades of gray, and that is the rat . Some fish and birds have four cone types and can see colors and wavelengths invisible to humans (for example ultraviolet light). Bees also have excellent color vision, although their visual systems are very different than those of animals.-An interesting, and highly speculative question-(your)Dogs are able to hear ultrasound, which is the principle of 'silent' dog whistles,Not all sounds are normally audible to all animals. Each species has a range of normal hearing for both loudness (amplitude) and pitch (frequency). Many animals use sound in order to communicate with each other and hearing in these species is particularly important for survival and reproduction. In species using sound as a primary means of communication, hearing is typically most acute for the range of pitches produced in calls and speech.

Do Animals have a Sixth Sense?,well then ,let's speculate

without complicating our existence, let me use for example:

the Tsunami  that devastated parts of Indonesia,How did the animals escape the tidal wave? Animals were reported to behave strangely long before the Tsunami struck, and there are othe similar stories,so it is up to you to think whatever

suits your thinking, but one thing is for sure, they perceive

    better than humans

  18. sometimes they can .. animals can hear things at higher frequencys then humans and so she may be hearing things that you cant

  19. Well the house we lived in before this one was very strange. There were a lot of things going on. Now im pretty sceptical and always try to find a logical reason for odd happenings but our dog - who is the soppiest thing you could ever wish to meet - started looking up the stairs and growling with his hackles up. And we kept hearing people running downstairs when there was nobody around and it wasnt next door because it was a semi and the other side was empty. So yes i do think animals sense things - BIG TIME!!!! We moved!!!!!!

  20. of course.

  21. i believe that they can see and hear things that we can't. You might want to check on the history on the house or the land and try to figure out why your cat is acting like that. It is human nature to be scared but if you try to understand what you are experiencing then there is nothing to be scared of.

  22. Yes. I forgot what it's called, but it's a sound we can't hear, but we can feel. Animals are more sensitive to it. Animals have better senses than us. It's probably because they have a lot more predators than we do. But they can definitely sense things that are unusual and are in a different dimension. There might be something in that room that is far from anything in this world.

  23. Yes

  24. Yes, they are very sensitive.

  25. it is possible. i watched this thing on the science channel that cats can detect earthquakes

  26. animals can sense many things that we either cannot sense, or cannot interpret even though we can sense them

some examples are sounds outside of our audible range, em radiation outside of the 400-700nm band, many types of smells or levels of smells, possibly others.

as far as sensing some paranormal event in that room, it is entirely possible that animals, or perhaps cats, or perhaps, specifically your cat can sense a paranormal presence in that room.  more likely is that the cat either senses one of the the examples that i sighted or else the cat is just a loon

  27. yes ,telephrithey (did i spell this right)

  28. Yes they knew to find higher ground in Tsunami
