  1. Lots of people see ghosts of animals.

Whether this is because this is what happens after death is another matter. Perhaps we are seeing an echo of the past? This is the position of the stone tape theory.

  2. Could be. . .mine have never come back to say woof woof, but I do like to think of them running free in a field of flowers, eating good dog bones and just being at peace.

  3. There are many reports of ghostly animals.  Domestic pets are sometimes seen as ghosts by their former owners.

  4. not at all. animals seem to take a different path after death than humans do. the human soul passes on, but after animals die, something different happens. we dont quite know what though....

  5. Based on my personal experience- Definitely.

  6. There are several quite well documented cased of animal-spirits. it's a term well known in Mysticism and witchcraft, but there have been quite a few photographs which featured long-dead pets re-appearing in what seems to be a spectral form.

Why not? Most who believe in ghosts regard them as the life-essence of a living being, or its soul, so there isn't any reason an animal shouldn’t have a post-dead existence of some sorts.

Cats are probably haunting soft coaches and dogs sniffing crotches beyond the grave. An interesting concept.

  7. There are lots of myths and stories about ghost animals, mainly dogs and horses, a few bulls and a bear or two.

  8. Do werewolves count?

  9. maybe they do, maybe they do.  there is an olde englishe folk tale of a lord named justin brett who was responsible for the death of many aminals during the norman conquests of soviet france.   it is said that after his death you could hear the c***s crowing in the morning, and crowing in the evening, all over this land.  some would say that the ghost **** that would apear at times of darkness for the brett family, sometimes signalling the death of a family member or the losing of something valuable.
