Do animals get depressed if they lose their testicles?

I have a very low testosterone thanks to some injury to my testicles(and almost no s*x drive)

And I feel like I am in a psychological h**l

I was wondering if what I am feeling is more of a physiological result or a psychological result

Do animals who lose their testicles suffer from depression or different feelings

I know dogs get depressed but they also seem to be in a good mood sometime

Is this a result of losing their testicles which makes them depressed?

  1. Shoot!!!! I would!

  2. I doubt if animals understand what their testicles are for.  Generally Dogs that have been castrated are friendlier, this is why they make better pets.

As a Man you fully understand what they are for, and how men view them,  Loosing one or both, or even the partial function of them is bound to lead to some anxiety and depression,

Talk to your doctor about this, he may prescribe testosterone if it is necessary, he can also help you find some one to talk to about it, counseling, or a support group.
