  1. i guess some are incapable of showing cries of sadness? o-0

  2. they're sad inside

  3. I'd say they do, but don't show their sadness the same way we do. Dogs will cry out if they are alone, afraid or hurt. Animals have been known to suddenly grow very quiet or lose their enthusiasm for a while if a mate or close companions is gone, especially in zoos where the animals had been together for a long time previously. Elephants have been seen surrounding a dying or dead member of their group and caressing it with their trunks. I think that most animals feel emotions, like sadness, anger, or happiness, though perhaps not to the same degree as humans with our highly developed brains and whatnot. ;)

  4. phoenixes do. I seen it in Harry Potter

  5. Yes when they are hurt, lonely, sad, or upset.  Dogs and cats do it the most.

  6. In animals, it is virtually impossible to tell if their tears are the result of emotions or merely caused by eye irritation. Most scientists agree, however, that humans are the only animals who produce emotional tears.
