Question:

Do animals of the same "species" experience "racism"?

For example CATS... to black cats and white cats stick together!

Do striped or spotted dogs gang up on the "one color" dogs!

I mean come on we consider humans more "evolved than the "lower animals"...but we have these silly ways of determining some division amongst humans

Any thoughts on this?

Obviously I'm asking this humourously" tounge in cheek", but really people think about it!

  1. Two reasons; animals do not have a money system.

Animals do not have a religious system.

We divide each other based on our incomes and our beliefs.

  2. Are not many animals color blind?

  3. I think what you are really asking is do they show discrimination and they do.  Not by color, (I don't think they see colors the way we do) but by physical dominance, health, breeding ability, etc. from which comes the concept of survival of the fittest and animal practices such as baby chicks pecking the weakest to death and animal mothers destroying defective offspring.

  4. maybe they experience "racism" based on their breeds?

  5. The sense perceptions of animals, such as dogs and cats, are entirely different than that of human beings.

The sense of smell and hearing are so important to dogs and cats in that is how they perceive and judge their peers more than eyesight. For example, dogs perceive smells the way humans perceive colors.  So dogs and cats might react and judge each other more to a smell disparity than humans.

  6. it has been noted that if you get a group of dogs together they will seek out other dogs that look life and that are the same size as they are.   Dachshunds will seek out other dachshunds and so on but they will still play with one another, it's not that they don't like other dogs it is more a preference.

  7. Many primates do. Gorillas do, and other mammals. Check the national geographic magazine.

  8. Yes, Mrs. Special {K} Its' your world and everything in this world is all yours. Now, are you completely satisfied. If yes, Then please give me {ten} beautiful lady virgins because my graceful [Ember] has fled away from my grasp.

  9. I would think that one's interests would extend most strongly to one's own gene pool. But then there's that danged cuckoo that dumps its egg in some other bird species' nest for that hen to mother.

  10. yes.. i see it with black and grey animals

  11. Research suggests that mammals do not classify within their species based upon color or pattern differentials.  There is much proof that mammals classify within their group based upon different levels in strength and ability.  For example...a pack of wolves understands that an older, weaker wolf will be permitted to sit back during a hunt and kill and then be allowed to participate in the feast.

  12. no its just human's, who are to be thought as of being smart ! but racism will never go away ! it's a one sided thing's its only another word for being white !!! because we all know black's are not racisest !!! ( right )
